So you have only 10 days to market your seminar?
Is this at all possible? What marketing channels would make it possible?
Here is what Jack Bauer did for his seminar in Singapore, you may have to adapt it to meet your short deadline.
Jack Bauer gave a one day seminar where the local organized charge between $102, and $299 dollars. $102 dollars is for attendee who attended one of the previous seminar of the local organizers.
$249 is for early bird who signed up prior to a preview seminar. $299 is for those who signed up at the preview seminar. The preview seminar is free.
The organizer advertised by placing several newspaper advertisements and also email and SMS people on their mailing list.
The preview itself attract about 300 attendees, of those present at least 100 person signed up for the one day seminar.
The preview itself is a condensed version of what was presented on the one day seminar, and is compressed version of a product that was put to sales from the back of the room at $2600+ (all in local currency). About 100 ser was sold.
Also, if you use AdWords campaigns to attract more new visitors to your seminar — you must give them some thing of value in return for clicking on your ad.
So if you speak on 9 tips during the full seminar, let those who check out your advertisement have, let’s say 3 tips, and they have to attend to get the rest.
Joel Bauer also emphasizes the importance of branding yourself. So consider doing that during your campaign.
Also, here are a few ideas, that you can use (of the top of my head):
The other key to filling seminars as a newbie is to use parasite marketing.
I mean, get access to other peoples customers.
My biggest advice is if you really want to do well in the seminar business, forget about the front end.
If you are good then sell back end stuff, whether it would be a product or another seminar it doesn’t matter.
Try to use a free “front end seminars” model. But make them give a non refundable deposit if they don’t show up.
What I mean is pay make them pay $100 for a ticket that you will refund if they show up.
This model is taught by Harv Eker and I must say it works in a lot of markets, but not all.
Anyway these are just a few ideas, I haven’t even talked about paid advertising etc.
Hope your seminar goes well or went well!
