I always liked the leverage that this blog can create for me. Saying something to the crowd of 400-500 people makes me a little bit wary of what I say and what I promise. It’s either that or I will be called a scam, failure or something else… And believe me, that’s not something that I would like to be called, at least not on a regular schedule.
So here we are at the biggest promise and probably the hugest commitment that I’m going to make. And like I’ve already said yesterday, it’s going to be all about my health and fitness level.
For the next 30 days I will be monitoring my physical activities, document the food that passes my mouth and taking pictures to see the progress while I go.
Today I was planning the whole thing and here what I’ve come up with…
Let’s start with the food I’ll be eating. I’ve been consulting with professional dietitian about this and here’s what she suggested me:
| Breakfast (6:00 — 7:00 AM) | Dinner (12:00 AM — 1:00 PM. ) | Supper (4:00 — 7:00 PM) | |
| Day 1 | Water (2 liters per day).
Fruit tea. 1 pomegranate. 4-5 apricots. |
150 g. of carp or herring with beetroot (no limits in quantity.) | Eggplant with garlic — 300 g.
Rye porridge (up to 100 g.) |
| Day 2 | 1-2 pears.
1-2 nectarine. |
300 g. of pea porridge. | 300 g. of cauliflower.
Oatmeal porridge (up to 200 g.) |
| Day 3 | 4-5 plums.
1-2 oranges. |
Broccoli with paprika and spinach — 300 g. | Rice (up to 100 g.)
Cabbage (300 g.) |
| Day 4 | 1-2 peaches.
3-4 tangerines. |
Pike (150 g.) with carrots (no limits in quantity.) | Millet (up to 100 g.) with carrots. |
So this is 4 days meal plan and once you are on the 5th day, you just eat whatever is for Day 1 etc. Seems pretty simple.
Few other simple rules…
Avoid any carbohydrate that is — or can be — white. The following foods are thus prohibited, except those that are already in the list above: bread, milk, cereal, potatoes, pasta, and fried food with breading. If I avoid eating anything white, I should be safe.
Don’t drink calories. That means do not drink milk, normal soft drinks, or fruit juice.
I’ll take take one day off per week and those will be Saturdays. Saturdays will be my “Dieters Gone Wild” day. I am allowed to eat whatever I want on Saturdays, and I’ll go out of my way to eat ice cream, Snickers, cakes and all of my other vices in excess. I’ll make myself a little sick so I wouldn’t want to look at any of it for the rest of the week.
Paradoxically, dramatically spiking caloric intake in this way once per week increases fat loss by ensuring that your metabolic rate (thyroid function, etc.) doesn’t downregulate from extended caloric restriction. That’s right: eating pure crap can help you lose fat. Welcome to Utopia.
Now for the exercise…
A while ago I have downloaded this great program called “Cardio Coach.” This program is a guided course of High Intensity Interval Training, which you listen while you train. And it is nothing more than awesome. The jogging with it becomes much more interesting and exciting.
I’ll be jogging 6 times a week, taking one day off on Saturdays.
After jogging I’ll be doing my Kettlebell exercises, once again taking a break from these on Saturdays.
I was also thinking about taking a little jog at evenings, no HIIT, just light jog before going to bed (there are hundreds of theories whether it is good to jog before you go to sleep or not, like with everything else, so I’ll just have to try it myself.)
Tomorrow I’ll be sharing my “before” pics and if everything goes according to plan, will be making my first video ever, documenting how the day went.
That’s it for Day0 of 30 Day Health Project. I’m off to drink my last glass of milk.

Let’s make a deal again!
The last one tasted DELICIOUS!
Since you sound more serious this time, how about this: “if you can’t keep up for 3 weeks according to this plan you are treating me for a meal.”
Up for a challenge?
BTW, you are a scam-fraud
Ok, I’m in. But…
If I can keep up for 3 weeks according to this plan, you will be the one who will treat me with a meal AND help me in launching that direct mail campaign.
Simple as that.
PS. I’m the best scam-artist… Ever…
Anyway, something on a more serious note
What’s your goal for this whole ordeal (that’s what it seems to me!)
I’m willing to bet my cat (the nasty one) that’ you’ll be feeling so fucking deprived on day 2 that you’ll go nuts. Check this out:
2 pears: 200 kcal;
2 necatrines: 120 kcal;
300 g of peas porridge (pea thing or oyster thing (I think that’s what they call in english anyway)): 120 *3=360;
300g of cauli: 75 (are you gonna eat them raw?
you are not supposed to.)
200g of oatmeal: 360;
So that’s… around 1200 calories;
For a man.. that’s BELOW starvation level. Add your exercise thing and you’ll be feeling like super shit the second week.
At least that’s what I think. I’d probably become a madman after a while on this whacky diet
If you are going to do it, make sure you document how you FEEL (ie not “i’m happy cause I lost 5kg of muscle and 0.5kg of fat”, but “I feel fucking great and energized today” kind of thing). Will be fun.
BTW, where is MEAT? Warriors are supposed to eat meat.
Don’t turn into a vegan sissy, mmmkay?
No, no direct mail thing. I don’t sign up for that one.
How about a meal+I buy you a a cauliflower?
It’s hard to draw up conclusions since there is so much contradicting information but check out this BBC article about medical myths:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/7153880.stm
Talking about “Drink at least eight glasses of water a day”, they go:
“Researchers from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis found no evidence supporting the need to drink eight glasses of water a day. ”
“Data also suggests drinking excessive amounts of water can be dangerous.”
Perhaps you should at least do more research into it.
Yeah, I’ve heard about that drinking thing, but like with the other things there are people who say it’s good and people who say it will kill you.
I paid my dietitian to do the research for me, so this time I will just blindly trust her and see what will come out of this whole thing.
That’s why I want to document everything here and on video ![]()
Fire your dietitian.
Like someone else said, you’re starving yourself. Eating a few pieces of fruit, some vegetables and a bowl of porridge is not enough food for a day.
Do your own research and don’t listen to your crazy dietitian.
